Public Consultation : Draft Patient and Caregiver Guideline for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease: Instructions for guideline review

The Kidney Health Australia-Caring for Australasians with Renal Impairment (KHA-CARI) Guideline Group invites patients and caregivers to comment on the Patient and Caregiver Guideline for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease.

These guidelines are the patient version of the KHA-CARI Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) clinical practice guidelines published in November 2015. They answer specific questions which have been put forward by the ADPKD guideline working group and the ADPKD patient/caregiver group. There are 12 guideline subtopics in total. Each subtopic is 1 to 2 pages long.

The aim of the public consultation process is to provide feedback to the guideline writer to improve the quality of the guideline and ultimately better health care for people with kidney disease.

To simplify the review process, we have created a Consumer Guideline Review Form. Please use this form for each subtopic. It is a simple tick box form with room for comments. Please be as specific as possible and include the question number if needed. Each subtopic needs to be specific and informative.

The guideline subtopics will be available till Friday 3 March, 2017. The guidelines and the Consumer Guideline Review Form are available on the KHA-CARI website at Draft KHA-CARI Patient and Caregiver Guidelines for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease

Please submit your comments to the KHA-CARI Office: cari.schn@health.nsw.gov.au or to Pamela Lopez-Vargas
